Jarmo, Solution Sales Manager
I work in the solutions support unit, specifically in solution sales for our cloud services. In practice that means that I work in a consultant's role, supporting DNA's corporate sales, and independently sell to medium-size and large organisations. I also participate in defining and planning our cloud services.
I transferred to DNA from Lännen Puhelin after they merged with DNA in 2007. My career started in their sales outlet and customer service with evening and weekend shifts when I was a student. After my graduation I moved to corporate sales in Turku. I have been in this job since December 2012.
One of the best things about my job is how each working day is different. I meet new people every day, I identify problems and plan solutions for them. I also keep a close eye on technological development. I find it hugely important that the products we sell represent the future. We want our products to help revolutionise the ways in which our customers work.
As workplaces go, DNA is right there with the most up-to-date organisations. We work with new tools and methods and, depending on the day, you can take your work to a desk, meeting room, sofa or park bench. At DNA we are asked to use common sense and try and get things right the first time. DNA's values are clearly visible in our day-to-day work. With all the revolutionary developments taking place in this field, the ability to act quickly is vital. Genuineness means our effective and practical methods, and boldness refers to the individual decision-making.
My life outside work is filled with travel, adventure and new experiences. In reality I also spend time reading stacks of books, watching films and strumming my guitar.
